Nutritional Therapy encompasses the use of tailor-made dietary and lifestyle programmes in order to redress nutritional imbalances for optimal health and disease prevention.
Intensive farming, food processing and refining, plus transportation and storage means that the food that reaches our plates has lost a large proportion of its nutritional value. A poor, nutrient-sparse diet in today's frantic world of stress and pollution can prevent the body from functioning at its best and may result in chronic illness in the long-term.
However, a good diet can radically improve energy levels, mood, skin condition and other health issues that conventional medicine finds difficult to treat such as allergies, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances or auto-immune disorders. Increasingly, couples are using Nutritional Therapy to enhance their chances of conceiving and having a healthy baby. Parents are using Nutritional Therapy to support their children with behavioral or weight issues.
Every cell in the body is nourished by what we eat. The food we eat can have an effect on our quality of life for the now and for the future.
